About The Album

Released in 1970, “Paranoid” was Black Sabbath’s second studio album and the one that brought them into public recognition going straight to the top of the album charts.

Featuring, of course, the massive single “Paranoid”, this quintessential heavy metal album is home to Sabbath classics such as “Iron Man” and “War Pigs” amongst others.

It is said by the band that the titular single was written in the studio as they didn’t have enough material to fill out an album. From the moment “Toni Lommi” wrote the riff to Ozzy penning the lyrics and recording it, the whole process only took about 25 minutes. Probably the best spent half hour in Rock Music history as Paranoid is still recognised as one of the best and most influential records in Heavy Metal history.
